Our Children Today

In 2020 our ministry faced more changes. After completing the bungalow and moving all our children on to the same property, the Department of Social Welfare requested that as many of the children as possible be reunited with their families or go to family members for the school breaks. Seven of our children have been restored to relatives who love them and are now raising them.  Many had someone they could spend time with on breaks, but who were not able to raise them full time.  Some of our children don’t have anyone they know.  They have been with us since they were tiny. We would now have to switch over to Foster Care. Xorve and William who have taken care of our children since Rev. Sharon began went for training to be qualified with the Social Welfare as Foster Parents. They have a loving family with 4 children of their own.

In July of 2020 the children that could go home to other family members left after being with us for many years. It was a sad day to see our compound devoid of any children. Because of our love for these children, we committed to continue to support them.  We care for most of our children that left on different levels as needed.

First Foster Home

Our First Foster Home. In 2021 Xorve and William and Lydia were certified as Foster Parents.  They almost immediately received a new baby, Kwabena.  Prosper continued to live with them as he prepared for his national exams and helped with the farm.

Xorve and William occupy the Ocean House and now have 4 foster children. The Lord has blessed us with Kwabena a wonderful little boy with a vibrant personality. He is 4 years old. In the Spring of 2024 they received two girls, Juliet and Angel.

Sidum

Sidum is 5 years old. She came in September of 2025 after her mother abandoned her under a tree. After a couple days passed, someone notified Social Welfare. She was hospitalized for a many month. She was severely malnourished and found to have cerebral palsy, though not at a severe physical level. She came out of the hospital to William and Xorve. She is a bright, happy child, but verbally lower than normal for her age group. Her leg and foot were not straight, so we brought her to an orthopedic specialist. She has been in 2 casts, which did bring her leg and foot into a much better position for walking. She is now in school and loves it. Xorve and William are wonderful foster parents and the children are flourishing under their care.

Second Foster Home

Our second Foster home is with Pastor Fred and Blessing Bansa in New Bapka. It is here in this loving atmosphere that Peter and Paul our twin boys with sickle cell anemia are flourishing. Peter and Paul have been with us since they were born. When the children were all sent home, Peter and Paul went home to their father who is an alcoholic. After many months an intervention was done to save the lives of these precious little boys. They spent time in the hospital to recover from malnutrition and the sickle cell anemia which was out of control. They are now healthy and happy with this family where there are 6 other children. Pastor Paul and Blessing have their own children plus they are caring for a set of twin girls whose mother passed away. The mother was a sister of Blessing. It is a full house, but a happy one.
