Missions
From the early days of this mission, Rev. Sharon hosted short-term mission teams who came to teach, preach, and give humanitarian aid. A village church, Mount Zion Community Church, was an offshoot of one of these mission trips. The missionaries along with Bible School students, held a crusade and the church grew from there. One of the Bible School students is now the pastor of this flourishing church, and he now also has started a Christian Primary School.
There are missionaries in Ghana now who received their start in Adidome at Titian Ministries (then called Missions International). Rev. Donna, the current director of the mission is one of them. She first came to the mission on her Bible school internship in 2004.
We believe this is a very important part of the ministry as these teams bring people whose skills and gifts are of great value to the work and to the people whose lives we touch. We believe that the hearts of people who come are touched and some may even step into their calling as missionaries.

Pastor Mike and Joanne were our first mission team to go to Anloga Ghana, West Africa in March of 2013. They loved their experience in Ghana. They met with Pastor Paul Akotey and all of his staff, and many of the children there. They were able to go to the children’s Sunday school classes and see how they were doing. The children had their pictures taken with them. The team brought towels for each child which they were required to have by Social Welfare. When three-year-old twins Peter and Paul were on our laps they seemed to want to stay there for longer than they had time to. They examined the Adidome facility and gave us some idea of the level of repairs that were needed. Both the house and the school facility were in disrepair.
Before covid, Antioch Christian Ministries from Essex Ontario did a yearly missions trip with Pastor Gerrie Armaly who is the International Chair for Titian Ministries International Inc. We also have people come from the United States to teach in the IAM Bible School. In 2014, a team came and renovated the mission house so Rev. Donna could move in and start operating from Adidome.
In 2015 and 2016, the team worked on completing the house on the ocean for Children of Zion and in 2017, the team did more work on the Adidome facility. Pastors and Leaders Conferences, as well as some speaking in local churches, have been highlights each year as Pastor Gerrie and the team pour out their hearts to build up the church in Ghana.
In October of 2018 Pastor Bonnie Dekold and Pastor Gerrie Armaly preached in Anloga, New Bapka, and in a small village church in Matsikope. Pastor Bonnie and I shared the preaching. Pastor Bonnie also spoke at a Women’s Meeting in Adidome. This was our third year to hosts this type of a meeting and about 100 women came from many different denominations. The evening ended with prayer for healing and many responded and were touched by the Lord. We also had the privilege of ministering at a women’s meeting in Adaklu. Here we met 7 women who are called Queen Mothers. They carry the same status as a Village Chief, but their place is to oversee the women in the villages. I spoke out of the Book of Ruth God’s Redemption. Bonnie ministered salvation to them. They were deeply touched and one of the Queen Mothers accepted Jesus into her heart.
Another highlight is ministering to our elderly folks. It is a wonderful experience to pray for them and to see them get healed. Their smiles say it all. You can see reports from these trips under “Updates”
On one of our missions trips, Mr. Jack Armaly a retired grade school principal had the privilege of telling a story to many little Ghanian children in Adaklu.
If you are interested in coming to Titian Ministries Ghana, you can contact the head office in Essex Ontario or Dr. Gertruda Armaly at Ascent Church.
