LOAVES & FISHES-ELDERLY MINISTRY

As of 2018, we serve needy elderly men and women through a monthly distribution of food, both physical and spiritual. We provide packages of rice, oil, beans, bath soap, and clothes washing soap monthly. Currently we concentrate on our own environment of Adidome, but occasionally on special request by Social Services, we have Included others, such as helping this older woman who was living by herself and starving. They moved her to family who loved her but did not have the means to feed her. We made it possible for her to stay with them. We are thankful that God continues to provide for these elderly folks through the support both from Canada and the United States.

Celebration, praising the Lord and dancing is a very important part of their culture. Even these elderly folks love to dance and praise the Lord.

When visiting ministries come to Adidome, ministering to the elderly is always on the agenda. Not only do they bring a message about the Lord, but they pray for them and have seen quite a few healings.

At times we have given special help to those with special needs. The man who is being prayed for was given extra food each month during his last couple years of life. We also bought him some clothes and a chair. The small house you see below was sponsored by us because this woman was being ejected from even abandoned buildings. It has changed her life.

Rev. Donna and her team have started visiting the shut ins who cannot come to receive their food packages. They love to have a visit and some prayer.

Now in 2025 we still feed 56 elderly. Every time someone leaves us, there is immediately someone waiting to take their place. The needs are always great, many more are waiting for help.
