October 2026 – Changing Lives, Transforming a Nation The Vision Continues to Unfold
Dear Friends of Titian Ministries,
“This is the LORD's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” (Psalm 118:23)
It is always wonderful to look back over the months since the last newsletter was written and think of all the news and developments that I can share. Day by day I see the work to be done and the obstacles to be dealt with. Looking back, I can better appreciate all the Lord has done and helped us to accomplish!
The land we owned at the ocean was sold in June after being on the market for over 2 years. This land was where we had brought the children while the children’s home was still open, and where William and Xorve lived with the foster children. It was more than we needed and was very costly to maintain since the ocean air corrodes metal and cement. The money from the sale will be sown into our future, as well as providing a new residence to William and Xorve, their children, and the foster children. We were unable to find a suitable home in time for their move at the end of August. They are currently living in Adidome in the rooms over the school classroom while we continue our search. While this was not our plan, I believe God has His own reasons for this at this time. The children are enrolled in the school right next to us and are enjoying our environment. Please pray that the Lord will direct us in obtaining a suitable home.
With the understanding that I may retire someday, we hired a part-time administrator who can start to learn the work of our ministry. Geoffrey, who has been our new IAM Bible School Dean, is now our part-time Administrator. He has taken over the work of the IAM Bible School and of the Loaves and Fishes elderly program which gives out food packages to 56 people monthly. He will also work on other projects to be assigned as needed. This is an answer to prayer that wasn’t actually prayed. We were praying for younger people to become part of the ministry. But a year or two ago, I just expressed the desire that when I turned 70, it would be good if I didn’t have to carry the whole responsibility of Titian Ministries myself. I’m 70, and here is Geoffrey coming alongside! I thank the Lord for His goodness! Geoffrey has a background in business and agriculture. His wife is the headmistress of the E.P. Primary School. They have 3 small children.
Our IAM Bible School students are now graduates! In June, they went on a 3-day mission trip to a village where the husband of one of the students was starting a branch church. Their experience included evangelism throughout the village, and evening crusades. The pastor will follow-up with new converts, some who made recommitments, and one who was saved from committing suicide as a result of their ministry. In August they completed all their classroom requirements. September 26th was the big day, a wonderful graduation! Clement, our handicapped student was in his new wheelchair, purchased with the funds remaining after the wheelchair trike was purchased. I am also very excited that our time teaching these students resulted in two couples, who had been living together, getting married because of what the wife was learning in class.
Winning Star School had a wonderful end-of-the year program at the end of July. There were cultural performances, awards given out, and children who graduated into the next level of school. Our own Peter and Paul, the foster twins, moved from Class 6 into the first year of Junior High School.
In His Service,
Donna
